Tetris Online Poland

Tetris Online Poland (TOP) is the codename of the HardDrop.com forum user Wojtek's effort to reverse engineer the now-discontinued Tetris Online Japan protocol and create an individual server. Tetris Online Poland features a variety of single-player modes: Time Attack, Challenge, Marathon, and Driller. Upon completing a session, the player's highest score is uploaded to the online leaderboard, included with a replay. Players are able to review the best attempts of the community. The training mode allows players to challenge a computer-controlled opponent, which incorporates varying playstyles, with increasing stages of difficulty. There is also a online multiplayer mode, utilizing a lobby system, with password and spectator support. Multiplayer includes Free-For-All "Solo Play" and team-based "Team Play" modes. With the shutdown of Tetris Online Japan (TOJ) on July 1st, 2011, the unofficial Tetris Online Poland server is currently the only way to play TOJ. By the time of writing, TOP's playerbase has increased to about 197 thousand users, with a still active multiplayer community.
