Co-Lab: Crowdsourced Scientific Method
Co-Lab crowdsources the scientific method by sourcing observations, questions, and hypotheses from its users. These posts are tagged with their relevant fields of science and posted in an open-access forum for other users to publicize and criticize. Posts are subject to upvotes and downvotes. In addition, hypotheses can be agreed or disagreed with. Agreeing or disagreeing with hypotheses takes into account a user’s expertise in the fields of science being discussed. Users are then compensated for their contributions to science with social and financial incentives proportional to the impact of their observations, questions, and hypotheses.
