Timestamp Clamper

Timestamp Clamper allows resetting file and folder timestamps that fall outside of specified time range. In particular, it can be used in the context of exact file replication when some files have timestamps so far in the past (or in the future) that they are not supported by the file system of the destination device. For example, timestamps of 1970-01-01 cannot be correctly cloned onto a FAT32 volume. In this case Timestamp Clamper can be used to bring these timestamps into FAT32 time range before running the replication.

  • Created, last-modified and last-accessed timestamps are supported.
  • Both file and folder timestamps are processed.
  • Preconfigured time ranges for FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, ext2, ext3, etc.
  • Fast, multi-threaded processing.
  • Support for simulated runs.
  • Very light on run-time resource usage.
  • Small in size with no external dependencies.
