TailExpert
TailExpert is a reliable and useful application dedicated to helping you analyze log files while they grow. The software is designed to open multiple files in separate tabs and allows you to compare them in side by side view, find character strings, or highlight particular lines, that you wish to watch. The software also supports opening logcat logs directly from a connected mobile phone or tablet, additionally a built-in Syslog sink can retrieve logs directly from the network. Additionally, it also allows you to load Windows eventlogs or listen on serial ports.
TailExpert provides advanced message filtering, message highlighting, message translation in order to improve the readability, on the fly timestamp analysis, as well as it has configurable view formats. TailExpert can also signal you via a sound or even an email when a certain condition is met.
With the built-in compare tool is is easy to compare good and bad situation logs, which speeds up failure localization. For communication analysis a time-sync function is available which will show client/server logs side by side and visualize the order of the incoming messages.
A built-in import wizard helps you define the most convenient format to present your logs. Thanks to the embedded LUA interpreter even more advanced analysis scripts can be constructed. Using the LUA environment you even have the ability to create dialogs to visualize analysis data.
