Speedtest.net is a broadband speed analysis tool that allows anyone to discover the real speed of their Internet connection. Test your download speed, upload speed, and ping (the time it takes for data to be sent from your computer to the Internet and back) through hundreds of servers worldwide. You can record your results over time, compare yourself with other users worldwide, or participate in a Speed Wave. A new way to compare results with others, Speed Wave lets you create competitions and gather statistics from like-minded users. Participants in a speed wave will on occasion receive special badges.
