The project started in 2013 when our internet marketing company had to develop its own HTML editor because of the lack of a proper platform which was able to effectively manage the incoming requests. Our clients used to send the content they wanted us to publish on their websites in Microsoft Word or PDF documents and we had to process and convert them to HTML code. We had to find a way to automate the process to become more effective. We developed the ancestor of the current platform which featured the visual editor and source editor next to each other with a Clean button which executed all the regular cleaning tasks on the document. Later we made this available to the masses for free on HTML-Cleaner.com domain. We fixed the bugs and included all the features the visitors suggested.
