GameStart

GameStart is a software for creating 2D and 3D realtime applications. It is based on the GSFramework game engine, and its scope extends from video game up to driving simulator, including broadcast video solutions as well.

It was used to develop the puzzle game called Magnetis both on PC and Nintendo Wii. GameStart includes an editor that gives access to an extended range of the features of the engine. It is a WYSIWYG tool designed to manage the 3D and 2D resources, to cretate the scripts, to test the application and eventually to publish it in a binary standalone format. The core architecture of GameStart is designed to deliver several rendering implementations, adapted to each platform (OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Wii GL) . Programming in GameStart can be done with C++, using the Squirrel (programming language) and with a mini script system called 'ACE' for the animation of 2D and 3D elements.
